Pop brat Justin Bieber RETIRING at the age of 19?!Dare we hope it’s true

Though Canadian singer Justin Bieber is just 19 years
old, he has reportedly claimed that he's going to
retire next year.
He said, "After the new album, I'm actually retiring
man. I'm retiring.
"I think I'm probably going to quit music."
He made his remarks to a host at Power 106 in Los
Angeles on Tuesday – so sayeth the Mirror – before
adding, "I want to grow as an artist and I'm taking a
step out.
"I want my music to mature."
But alas, it seems you'll have to put down those
party poppers and stop thanking the invisible powers
that be upstairs for making dreams come true as the
article adds, "But some insiders say it's all a big fat,
funny quite terrible joke."
Sigh.
Meanwhile, it's been reported by US entertainment
and gossip website TMZ that there was something of
a fracas at Bieber's home this week when paramedics
were called to attend to a young girl who'd
apparently "passed out" during a party hosted by the
Heartbreaker singer.
Of that, the Mirror states, "A 911 call was made to
the emergency services and ambulances were
dispatched at around 3:00am after the 20-year-old
was found unconscious at the house."
An unnamed source said, "A member of the singer's
security team called 911.
"The girl is fine. The call was made out of caution.
She ate some food and drank some water and was
fine."
Apparently, when paramedics arrived, they were told
that one of the guests at the bash would take the girl
to a private hospital for treatment, however, she
refused and was later taken home.
That incident is just one of many making headlines
for Bieber this year for primarily the wrong reasons…
The singer was accused of spitting at fans, which he
denied, and there was also some suggestion that
he'd been thrown out of several clubs in the States
after his behaviour was deemed unacceptable, but
again, his reps denied everything.
Here's a news report about Bieber…

Brazil 2014: FIFA World Cup Finals Draw

The 2014 FIFA World Cup draw took place in Brazil
today and Nigeria will play against Argentina, Iran
and Bosnia-something...lol. Nigeria's opening game
will be against Iran and even though Bosnia looks like
it will be an easy game for us, the country is ranked
higher than Nigeria in the world. They are ranked
21st, while Nigeria is ranked 36th, but I'm sure we'll
qualify alongside Messi's Argentina.many gist coming from both parts and we've got to wait till 2014

University of Ibadan AnnouncesResumption Date

The University of Ibadan (UI) is set to resume
teaching activities on January 4, 2014. This decision
was announced by the Governing Council of the
institution and was based on the directives of the
Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Federal Universities
and the National Universities Commission. However,
the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) said
strike still on.
Mr. Olujimi Olukoyam, the registrar and secretary to
the council at the UI, signed and released the official
university bulletin on December 6, 2013, Friday. In
the document the governing council explained that
the re-opening became necessary in view of the
consideration of all matters relating to the on-going
ASUU strike, at its recent meeting.
"Consequent upon the directives of the CPC which
directed the Vice-Chancellors to re-open universities
for academic and allied activities to commence, the
management on Tuesday, directed the deans and
directors to open resumption register for academic
staff willing to resume work to sign, on or before
December 4, 2013.
"At its extra-ordinary meeting held on Wednesday,
December 4, the school's governing council
deliberated on all the actions taken and ratified by
the Committee of Provost, Deans and Directors and
ratified them. The Senate at its special meeting held
on December 4, also considered the revised
academic calendar for the remaining part of the
second semester of 2012/2013 session proposed by
the Committee of Provost, Deans and Directors and
approved," the bulletin stated.

Keshi speaks on World Cup opponents

According to xtraemistblog, Head coach of the Nigeria national team, Stephen
Keshi has taken the time to give his thoughts on the
Super Eagles' three group opponents at the 2014 Fifa
World Cup finals in Brazil.
On Friday, Nigeria was drawn alongside, Argentina,
Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iran in Group F and Keshi is
full of respect for the three adversaries of the African
champions.
Nigeria will be meeting Argentina in the preliminary
stage of the competition having failed to avoid defeat
in the three previous encounters in 1994, 2002 and
2010.
Keshi was a member of the Nigeria side that lost 2-1
to the South Americans in 1994 and he is hoping
things will be different this time around.
"Argentina versus Nigeria is something that is
becoming a recurring decimal. We keep playing
against them at every World Cup. It's good. We will
see how it goes this time," he said immediately after
the draw ceremony in Costa do Sauipe, Salvador.
Keshi however confessed knowing little about the
group's two other sides, Bosnia-Herzegovina and
Iran.
"Not knowing Bosnia is a difficult thing but they are a
good side. I think I've seen them once or twice on
television.
"Iran? I've never seen them. For them to be here
means they are a good team," he added.
Nigeria's first game at the 2014 World Cup finals is
on June 16 against Iran at Arena da Baixada, Curitiba.
Five days later, the African champions face Bosnia-
Herzegovina at the Arena Pantanal, Cuiabá before
rounding off their first round campaign against one
of the pre-tournament favourites, Argentina at the
Estádio Beira-Rio, Porto Alegre on June 25.
The Super Eagles have never gone beyond the
second round of a World Cup.

By 95, I'll be a bigger hero than Nelson Mandela says WEST

According to xtraemistblog,
West was asked who he
thought on the world stage
today could possibly replace
Nelson Mandela in terms of
leadership.
"I am the next Nelson
Mandela," West responded.
"I'm only 36 years old, and
when I look at everything I've
accomplished, it's the only
comparison that makes any
sense. By the time I'm 95, I'm going to be a bigger
hero than he ever was.
"Nelson Mandela did a lot of good work, don't get me
wrong. But I think I'm on track to do something even
bigger. I liberate minds with my music. That's more
important than liberating a few people from
apartheid or whatever.
